Their role is vital in organizing logistics, managing records, and enhancing patient experience. They bridge the gap between healthcare providers and the community, ensuring that the medical camp runs smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.
Volunteer Duties
- Registration & Patient Coordination
- Register patients & collect basic information (name, age, medical history, symptoms).
- Manage patient flow by directing them to different treatment areas.
- Distribute patient ID cards & medical records for smooth tracking.
- Documentation & Data Management
- Record patient consultations & treatments for future follow-up.
- Organize medical files & reports to ensure accurate data entry.
- Support in research & data collection for assessing community health trends.
- Logistics & Supply Management
- Assist in setting up & dismantling medical stations before and after the camp.
- Manage medical supply inventory (ensure doctors and nurses have the necessary tools).
- Distribute medications & hygiene kits as per doctor’s prescriptions.
- Communication & Public Relations
- Guide patients through different service areas (triage, consultation, pharmacy).
- Assist in translation & interpretation if needed for better patient-doctor communication.
- Help organize health awareness talks & education sessions.
- Support Volunteers & Medical Staff
- Coordinate schedules for healthcare workers & volunteers.
- Help resolve minor issues & assist with inquiries.
- Ensure comfort & organization in waiting areas.
