The Event and project Coordinator Volunteer plays a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and executing events and community projects that align with the Awori Foundation’s mission of health, education, and community empowerment. They ensure smooth logistics, strong stakeholder engagement, and impactful outcomes for every initiative.
Volunteer Duties
- Event & Project Planning
- Develop event and project timelines, goals, and action plans.
- Coordinate with partners, sponsors, and vendors for venue, supplies, and logistics.
- Identify and recruit volunteers needed for different roles in events.
- Logistics & On-Site Coordination
- Ensure all event logistics are in place (venue setup, materials, equipment, signage, etc.).
- Manage event flow, troubleshooting issues in real-time.
- Coordinate with medical teams, speakers, or facilitators to ensure smooth program execution.
- Public Relations & Community Engagement
- Promote events and projects through social media, local networks, and partner organizations.
- Engage community members and stakeholders to ensure participation and impact.
- Act as a liaison between different departments, volunteers, and external partners.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Track project budgets and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
- Assist in fundraising efforts by identifying sponsorship and grant opportunities.
- Manage supply distribution (medical supplies, learning materials, food items, etc.).
- Documentation & Reporting
- Capture key highlights through photos, videos, and testimonials.
- Collect data on event/project impact for reporting and future improvements.
- Prepare post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for growth.
